As a rule, three dates per month will be available at the rooms of the Leibniz Language Centre. We will be pleased to inform you about available test dates and how to register.
You can find free places with us or in other active test centers by creating an account with the test provider ETS: Create an account with ETS.
Currently, the examination fee for both the TOEFL® iBT and TOEFL® Home Edition is $265 (as of 07/23).
The Leibniz Language Centre is a test center, not the test provider. We provide our facilities, technology and staff on the day of the test so that you can take the test under the best possible circumstances. You cannot
- register or change your registration
- cancel any test appointments
- pay any test fees
- find out a test result
- make a complaint
- not expect any binding information around the test administration.
In these cases, please contact the test provider ETS directly. We thank you for your understanding.
If you would like to submit your test score electronically to Leibniz Universität or would like to have your score verified, please use the following Designated Institution (DI) Code: 7122 (Contact: Admissions Office Leibniz Universität Hannover).
Alternatively, you can take the TOEFL® Home Edition, which is available four days a week, is identical to the TOEFL® iBT in all relevant points and is recognized by Leibniz Universität in the same way as the TOEFL® iBT. Please note that the TOEFL® Essentials Test is not currently accepted as proof of sufficient language proficiency for enrollment at Leibniz University. Overview: Accepted language certificates at LUH.

Our TOEFL® services are generally open to anyone who is interested. We offer UNIcert® II at level B2 as an alternative and cost-effective language certificate specifically for students at Leibniz University. The differences between the two certificates are summarized on our UNIcert® pages (link).
