The Aula Virtual Espanol (AVE) is an attractive, virtual study place, which has been developed by the Instituto Cervantes for flexible Spanish lessons via internet. AVE Global offers interactive tasks including reading- and listening comprehension, videos, pictures, web links, and more.
Real teaching scenarios are being simulated in which the multifaceted cultural and linguistic features of both Spain and Latin America are being addressed. AVE Global is in accordance with the CEFR's (Common European Framework of References for Languages) for levels A1, A2, B1, B2 and C1.
Our courses are geared towards both students and employees of the Leibniz University of Hanover.
Registration
Registration for language courses is via Stud.IP during the regular application time. You may only sign up for AVE Global after having received a participation confirmation.
You received your username and password after having signed up and paid for the course. This will grant you access to the system and your learning materials.
At the end of the course (online AVE Global course with or without tutor) you will receive a certificate from the Instituto Cervantes if you have successfully participated.

How much is the registration fee?
The license is 22€ (special offer) per semester (6 months). We charge a 44€-fee for the Sp305-1 Spanisch Kompakt B1 course because this course comprises both levels B1.1 and B1.2 and thus, two licenses are needed.

Do I have to be online at specific times?
AVE Global offers the possibility to have access to all materials online, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the duration of the course. You do not have to be online at specific times.
- Which AVE Global class modalities are being offered at the LLC?
Regular presence with AVE Global, B-learning courses with AVE Global, Online AVE Global courses with tutors, and online AVE Global courses without tutor.
- What is a regular presence class with AVE Global?
A regular presence course during the semester means that in-class lessons are mandatory. The evaluation is based on the AVE Global platform with various graded learning assessments, presentations and active participation.

This is a combination of in-course lessons, distanced learning and individual studies during the semester. This is an online class with supervision by a tutor. Your tutor supports you with doing your tasks on time. Additionally, you receive individual supervision for your learning process.

Yes. You will write an exam at the end of the course (Online AVE Global course with tutor), and after having successfully passing the exam you will receive a language certificate from the LLC.- What is an Online AVE Global course without tutor?
Students work independently with the “Aula Virtual de Espanol Global”, an online platform designed by the Instituto Cervantes, which offers various tasks.
- May I join a regular class after having successfully completed an online AVE Global course (with or without tutor)?
Please understand that we cannot reserve any spots.
If you have completed an online course with or without a tutor and have received a certificate from the LLC, your application for a regular course will be prioritised.
If you have completed an online course with or without a tutor and have received a certificate from the Instituto Cervantes, you must take the assessment test before applying for a regular course.- What happens if I signed up for the wrong course?

- What happens if I signed up with AVE Global before having received an official participation confirmation (Stud.IP)?
If you have signed up for AVE Global but neither registered via Stud.IP nor received a confirmation, your license will automatically be changed to “online course without tutor”.
