German semester courses

While the general language courses are for beginners and the specialized language courses are suitable for advanced learners and require a good knowledge of the respective language. They are based on the needs of the faculties of Leibniz University in Hanover. The skills courses are aimed at those who wish to improve their listening and reading comprehension as well as oral communication.

GENERAL LANGUAGE COURSES

For international students/Doctoral students from beginner level (A1) who want to improve their German language skills in general.

PROFESSIONAL LANGUAGE COURSES

For international students with a language level of B2 or higher who want to expand their German language skills in a subject-specific way.

SKILL COURSES

For international students who want to improve their German in various skills.

Please note the writing courses and writing consultations of the Team InterWrite.

Registration for language courses at the LLC is exclusively organised via Stud.IP
Please note

If you are not a complete beginner in English, German, or Spanish, you have to complete a placement test in StudIP before registering for language courses in StudIP. 


The results ot the placement test is binding for course registration; no other certificates such as TOEFL or DSH will be accepted.
