Pathway to Master‘s

The "Pathway to Master's" is a two-course English-language program at the LLC, geared primarily towards preparing LUH bachelor's students for an English-language master's program at LUH.

Program Structure and Scope

The program consists of a total of 8 SWS, which must be completed through two courses:

Pathway to Master‘s I: General Language Course

Pathway to Master‘s II: Subject-specific Language Course

Admission Requirements and Performance Certificates

  • To qualify for individual course registration, all students are required to take a placement test [link to internal E-Test] achieving at least a B2 level. The courses can be taken in any order over a period of up to three semesters.
  • Grade of 4.0 or higher is considered passing and sufficient for any individual course certificate. However, for the "Pathway to Master's" certificate, a minimum grade of 2.7 per course is required. The required assessments will be specified in the individual course descriptions.
  • The “Pathway to Master’s” certificate is used solely for the purposes of applying to English-language master's programs at LUH and is valid for two years from the date of the latest of the two course certificate issued.
